About

I began to study photography at the age of 12, when my father taught me to develop and Print Black and White photos. This hobby continued through the start of graduate school. I had several exhibits, including at the Rockford, Illinois Art Museum. For the Next 35 years my day job took priority, as I earned a PhD. in Physics from UW and then worked at IBM in Essex Junction, VT developing processes to manufacture semi-conductors chips. Prophetically, my last project was developing imaging sensors for digital cameras. Since retirement, I have re-applied myself to photography. I enjoy learning Photoshop techniques and applying them to my images. Recently my emphasis has been on honing my composition and artistic skills through reading, courses, and practice. I have an advantage in this quest, as my wife, the true artist in the family, frequently accompanies me and we discuss which elements are most essential to the scene. Let me know what you think! Thanks, Jerry
